Some jobs are more in-demand currently than others.
Looking at the post-COVID trends from 2020, here are the top 7 jobs, mostly online or remote, that are going to make you the most money in 2023.
Estimated per-hour ranges are given, assuming that you're going to be a beginner.
With an ever-increasing number of businesses popping up throughout industries, we are seeing an influx of first-time CEOs and founders. All of them need an assistant to help them with their daily tasks and schedule (assistant work) or someone to handle their finances, life, or strategy (consultant).
$15-30 per hour.
Similar to the last point, many online businesses are also looking for a good social media presence. Many feel that social media is an easy task (which it is), but few foresee how redundant and tedious it can get to analyze competitors, find new ideas, do research and content preparation, and design work.
Social media managers or marketers can offer a combined service offering research, content, design, and publishing support, all using free tools (such as Google for research and writing, Canva for design, and Buffer for post-scheduling).
$10-20 per hour.
Websites are always in demand. Specialize in one discipline such as WordPress or Shopify before expanding to other CMS platforms. A little bit of coding knowledge (HTML and CSS) can separate your work from others.
$30-60 per hour.
SEO experts improve a website's presence on Google, allowing it to outrank competing websites for specific keywords. This is an ongoing process for all websites and therefore, SEO is an evergreen field. Activities such as finding guest posting sites, improving website SEO, and handling keyword research are fairly straightforward.
$8-20 per hour.
Translators and transcribers are both in fairly moderate demand, and it's bound to grow with the world always becoming more localized. Don't limit your prospects by narrowing down on websites. Also look for apps, magazines, and other projects that need these services.
$10-20 per hour.
Becoming a developer is a time-consuming task. The most in-demand job title in tech and possibly all of the world is that of a developer. Full-stack developers, blockchain developers, web application developers, etc. are always in huge demand. Find a route and gather some formal training before approaching companies.
$20-35 per hour (web developers such as React) to $25-45 (software developers such as Python).
Find opportunities to join a company as a support provider. This could be a phone job, email job, live chat job, or a hybrid mix. Many businesses often look for customer support people without strict qualifications.
$15-30 per hour.
It's very much worth it to invest first in some type of formal training or a skill such as signing up for online courses before applying for a job. It's also a requirement in most places.
If you're looking for more ways to make money online, visit this site, they have some great methods and interesting ideas for just that.
If it applies to a particular field, building a good portfolio that can compete with those who have been in the industry for 1-3 years is going to improve your chances by a lot.
